Captain's History

   I was born in the great Pacific Northwest in 1958 in Bellingham , Washington, where the outdoors and boating started to become part of my life style. Fishing and cruising the Puget Sound and the San Juan Islands area along with my Alaskan experiences, I have accumulated and established sea time and years of invaluable experience in handling all types of vessels in fresh water rivers to deep sea saltwater. I became a part of the last frontier and the great State of Alaska in 1976.

   Now a licensed USCG Master Captain and owner of ALASKA GREATWATER ADVENTURES, with experiences within the sport fish and commercial fisheries, King Crab and the halibut industries, experiences with vessels from 20 to 120 Ft throughout Alaskan waters, Local knowledge and experience of the Bering Sea, inland rivers, to the near coastal water in the Gulf of Alaska, pristine Prince William Sound, to the unsurpassed beauty of Southeast Alaska and the inside passage. With a sterling and remarkable safety record with ZERO incidences, believing that safety should never be compromised with you and your family. All of our vessels exceed USCG standards.

   As a lifelong avid fisherman and outdoorsman I proudly welcome you aboard our vessels. It is one of my goals to offer you my experience and services to show you your Alaska dream as completely and safely as I can throughout Prince William Sound, Valdez to Whitter, or Southeast Alaska Wrangell to Sitka with a certain chance to view the Alaska lour and wildlife and always the promise of seeing some of the most beautiful scenery on the planet.

   Whether you are crabbing, shrimping, fishing for that barn door, kayaking, beach combing, glacier or wildlife viewing or just cruising around, Captain Denny B is always ready for service for all your custom Greatwater adventures.
